We are delighted now to be open and welcoming guests through our doors once again. Our bookings office is now open 9am-6pm Monday - Saturday. You can call us on (01202) 764776 or book online. We look forward to welcoming you back. Below are the precautions we are taking and these are regularly reviewed in line with government advice and restrictions. May God’s peace and joy be your strength.
Following the easing of restrictions on 19th July our overriding focus is on ensuring that all guests show consideration for each other and understanding that many will still feel concern at coming away. Although we are not now requiring guests or staff to wear face coverings in public areas we are asking that all guests show respect for those who wish to. All team members will have a face mask with them and will gladly wear it should you feel more comfortable them doing so. Breakfast will be buffet style but sanitiser stations and gloves will be available to prevent infection. Food will be covered.
We recognise that you will want to know we are doing everything we can to keep our guests and staff team safe. A range of measures remain in place as follows and you can rest assured that your safety is our highest priority.
As part of booking terms and conditions we ask guests to agree to:
We trust that these measures reassure you ahead of your stay with us. If you have any questions you are very welcome to contact myself or one of the team.
We look forward to welcoming you to our ‘home from home’.
There are three main times in our calendar:
Led Retreats -These are focused retreats on a specific topic or theme led by speakers who are experts in their field. There is space within the retreat for both learning and reflection. When a retreat does not have exclusive use of the house, others are welcome to stay without joining in the retreat itself. Most retreats run for Mon-Fri or Fri-Sun and some are open to day visitors.
Time & Space - this is time we set aside in our programme for individual personal retreat for those over 18yrs old. The house is kept quieter in order to provide an environment that is more conducive to reflection and there are opportunities for worship and healing prayer. Individuals, couples or small groups are most welcome at this time. Our Quiet Days and Healing Services are held during Time and Space. You are welcome to come for one night or longer.
Open Time - Outside of Time and Space we are very much a venue to be used! We are perfectly located for those wanting to simply get away, use us as a base for exploring the local area or to attend an event locally. We also welcome families during these times and offer space for a variety of meetings, celebrations, courses and events such as prayer breakfasts or training events whether local or national.
We will be hosting a variety of different events here next year, look below to find out more about what’s happening here next year. If you would like us to send you our 2020 brochure then email us on [email protected] or give us a call on 01202 764776.
Time and Space is time we set aside in the programme for personal retreat and runs from Monday to Friday. You are welcome to come for the whole time or just one night. Individuals, couples or small groups are most welcome during this time and our pastoral team are on hand to pray with you if you would like. Our Quiet Days and Healing Services are held during this time.
More and more people are discovering the richness that is found in understanding the prophetic and spiritual meaning of the Biblical Feasts. On this retreat join Alison Marchant as she takes you on a discovery of the feasts, exploring their history and discovering what they say of Jesus, and God’s over - arching plan for time and eternity.
Both Jen and Carol have known grief and loss in their personal lives but have discovered the Lord’s comfort and strength in brokenness. Together they work at Beauty From Ashes offering prayer ministry for those who have known grief, trauma, loss and the breakdown of relationships and are convinced Jesus still mends broken hearts today.
Renewed and strengthened marriage is the vision and passion of Time for Marriage (www.timeformarriage.org.uk). Led by a network of couples from many different denominations and backgrounds, these weekends are transforming marriages and families in the UK and beyond through Biblical teaching on issues such as communication, prayer, sex and conflict (just to name a few) alongside modelling authentic relationships through the openness and humour of the team.
Started in the early 1980s by blind singer/songwriter Marilyn Baker, MBM (www.mbm-ministries.org) is an itinerant ministry of music, teaching and prayer. Marilyn was soon joined by Tracy illiamson, whose gifts in speaking and prophecy enriched the music and ministry with a new imension.
Taking thoughts from his up coming book ‘The Art of Peace - life lessons from Christian Mystics’ (BRF due out summer 2021) David will lead you in teachings and practices to enable you to live a life of inner stillness, irrespective of what is happening in your everyday.
In their books ‘Miracles’ and ‘Angels’, Geoff and Hope Price have gathered together hundreds of varied testimonies, showing how God acts in peoples’ lives today.
During this retreat they will share many of these testimonies. They will include teaching from the Old and New Testaments of how God intervened in miraculous ways. There will be opportunities for prayer ministry during the week. Geoff and Hope look forward to sharing experiences of how God is active in the Church today.
This is a time to go deeper and draw closer to the heartbeat of God for those who are hungry for more of His Presence. It includes discovering the ways God speaks, how to discern His Spirit, and discover the chambers of His heart including: Belonging, Identity, Suffering Heart of Christ, and Anointing. (This is based on the book ‘Into His Chambers’ by Dr. Angela Walker.)
Are you needing rest, encouragement and inspiration? This retreat allows you time with God to reflect and rest alongside encouraging and inspirational teaching from Richard Langmead, former CEO of Urban Saints, Richmond Christian Holidays and currently our Chair at The Greenhouse Trust.
Whilst acknowledging the challenges and demands of ministry Richard will encourage us to lean on God and seek Him in the midst of the challenges. Free to Christian leaders in full-time role.
A silent retreat is a wonderful opportunity to press the pause button in the hustle and bustle of daily life. Above all else it affords the opportunity to get in touch with God.
Healing in God’s Presence is an opportunity to open our hearts to God, engage in His Presence, and allow Him to minister healing and freedom in our innermost being.
Advent is a significant period in the modern Christian calendar, just as it was for the ancient Celtic Christians. Over this weekend, David, author of the book Celtic Advent (BRF), will be sharing aspects of Advent and the lead up to Christmas as celebrated and focused on by the ancient Celtic Christians and monastic centres.
Finally the best event of the year without a doubt is our Christmas House Party! Filled with fellowship, fun and surprises, we would love you to join us for our family Christmas celebration.
